Trenching and Excavation Safety
Presenter: Gary Browning, LTAP
Trenching and excavation work presents serious hazards to all workers involved. Unfortunately, trench collapses (cave-ins) cause dozens of fatalities and hundreds of injuries each year. The objective of this 1-day course is to review guidelines for establishing OSHA-approved protective systems for a variety of common trenching/excavating projects (pipe installation, ditching, etc.). Incidents prevention and required PPE will be discussed as well. This training is classroom-based.
Continuing education certificates for 5.5 hours will be available.
