Mowing / Landscaping / Pesticide Management Roundtable

Come participate in a roundtable focused on how agencies are managing their mowing program, landscaping, and pesticide management.
  • What does it take to staff and equip each program.
  • What training and certifications are required.
  • What do their landscaping programs look like?
  • How to handle hanging street baskets, medians, roundabouts, interchange ramps.
  • Do they have a street banner program?
  • Do these agencies have their own greenhouses where they start their plants?
  • Do they maintain rights-of-way, parks and facilities using pesticides and fertilizers?
  • What types of equipment do they use?
  • How are the agencies purchasing the equipment: Sourcewell, ODOT, Ohio Buys or any other sources.
  • How long do they keep their equipment in service and do they sell, auction or trade the equipment.
  • Hear what the mechanics do to keep the equipment in service.
  • How are the staff occupied in the off-season.
Be prepared to hear from your peers and ask questions. This roundtable will be very interactive and a great place to make connections in the field you may be responsible for.
